How to register on the JASMIN Accounts Portal
JASMIN Accounts Portal
The JASMIN Accounts Portal is where you manage your JASMIN account, apply for access to JASMIN services such as SSH access, and if you are a service manager or deputy, manage access to those services.
Apply for a new JASMIN account
To apply for a JASMIN account you need to use an email address affiliated with your academic institution. This is the preferred option — otherwise your application may take longer to be approved. Proceed as follows:
Step 1: Go to the JASMIN Accounts Portal and select “Apply for a new JASMIN account”.

Step 2: Fill in the form with supporting information for your application, so the JASMIN Team can assess your eligibility for a JASMIN account. More information about eligibility can be found on our Access page .

| Surname | Your last name/family name. |
| Discipline | The primary discipline you work in. |
| Degree | If you are currently working towards a degree, the type of degree. Otherwise, select “Not studying for a degree”. |
| What will you be using JASMIN for? | Helpful information to specify here includes: • The name of the project you want to use JASMIN to work on • The reference code of any grant you may have to work on this project • The source(s) of funding for the project • The expected start and end dates of the project • The name of any JASMIN Group Workspace(s) currently used for the project • Links to the project homepage If you are applying from an institution outside of the UK, please also specify the names and email addresses of two contacts in the UK who could act as references |
Step 3: Press Submit application at the bottom of the page.

Step 4: After pressing Submit application, follow the verification link sent to your email address.
Step 5: Once your email has been verified, you will receive a second email with the subject ‘Application approved’ inviting you to finish setting up your account.
The link in the ‘Application approved’ email will take you to the following page where you choose your JASMIN account credentials and register your SSH public key. After you have completed the form, click Create account at the bottom of the page.

Step 6: Agree to the JASMIN Terms and Conditions of Access :

Step 7: Your JASMIN account has been created and you can log into the Accounts Portal using your credentials:
