How to apply for access to the Met Office MASS client machine
Access to MASS is only available from a specific machine on JASMIN, called mass-cli1.ceda.ac.uk.
If you have an existing JASMIN login account you will need to apply for access to "mass" as an additional service in the JASMIN portal. Within the JASMIN user portal navigate JASMIN Services -> Additional Services -> "mass".
If you are not already using JASMIN, then you will need to apply for both a JASMIN login account, and then request access to the MASS client machine.
NB: All applications for access to the MASS client machine will involve an email being sent to the Met Office Service Manager to review and approve access. So applying for access to the MASS client machine on JASMIN should only be done once the initial application for External Access To MASS has been started with the Met Office (so we know who you are and what you want to do, see this page about applying to the Met Office). Each application is reviewed and either approved or activated at the Met Office and CEDA, and the data owners need to confirm access, so please allow a few working days to complete.
